Robin Goeman is an elder law attorney with a practice focused on Medicaid and Guardianship. She maintains offices in Montpelier, Vermont and Brooklyn, New York. Robin has been admitted to practice law in New York since 2006, and Vermont since 2020, and her practice has been concentrated in elder law, benefits, and special needs planning.
Robin received her law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2006, and her bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan in 2002. Prior to opening her own practice in 2009, she was an associate at Freedman, Fish & Grimaldi LLP and then a staff attorney at MFY Legal Services, Inc. She is currently also of counsel to Brady & Bader LLP and Finkel & Fernandez LLP.
Robin is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), and Vermont Bar Association. She is a member of the NYSBA Elder Law & Special Needs Section, and the Vice-Chair of NYSBA’s Mental Health Law Committee and past chair of the Guardianship Committee. Robin is the 2012 recipient of the Brooklyn Bar Association’s Distinguished Service Award, and the 2013 recipient of the TD Bank Champions of Justice Award. Robin has been named a SuperLawyers Rising Star in 2018, 2019, and 2020.
Robin has lectured on elder law topics for the Brooklyn Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and to the Court regarding Medicaid and guardianship issues.
When not lawyering, Robin enjoys skiing, biking, weaving, hiking, and cooking.
